Brandon Johnson takes first at Dyer Park Insane Speeds longboard event
This was not Brandon's first event win and we look forward to seeing him make the podium on more upcoming events.
Team rider Brandon Johnson recently took first at the SFRL 4: Dyer Park Insane Speeds event that featured 26 registred racers and a crowd that came out to watch all the longboaridng excitement. This event took place in West Palm Beach, Florida and there were three corses that the races hit up during the event.
Brandon was on a DB Longboards Stalker V2 and a set of our trucks featuring the new 40 degree base plate. "Although they (40 degree base plates) have a low degree they still turn a lot and give me an extremely divey feeling setup," Brandon said.
The highlight of the event for Brandon was being able to skate with his friends again since he moved away from South Florida.
The next longboard event Brandon plans on hitting up is the SFRL 5 Go-Rage Garage Race.
"I am very happy more events are starting to pop up every month or so in South Florida because it really brings the community together," Brandon said.
